A hedgewitch is a practitioner of natural magic deeply connected to the earth, plants, and spirits of the wild. Often living on the fringes of society, you may have an intimate understanding of herbal lore, the cycles of nature, and the hidden paths of the unseen world. While many in the village may see you as an eccentric or outsider, others come to you for remedies, blessings, and guidance. Your skills embody the wisdom of the ancients, blending the knowledge of herbs with a touch of intuition.
NOTE: Some backgrounds have options to choose from. Please read carefully. You may not get every proficiency listed below, as some may be a choice between one or the other.
- Stat Options (choose either +2 in one stat and +1 in another, OR +1 in all three): Constitution, Wisdom, Charisma
- Skill Proficiencies (your choice of TWO): Animal Handling, Medicine, or Nature
- Tool Proficiencies: Your choice of one between Alchemy, Herbalism, Provisioning, Scrimshaw, or Woodworking.
- Languages: Two Standard languages of choice.
- Background Keepsake: A small talisman coinciding with your chosen profession for healing or simple magics (value under 10gp).
- Background Gold: 5gp.
